The Gainesville Emergency Operations Center was temporarily based at the Gainesville Public Works Department. Grace toured the facility with Gainesville Police Department Public Information Officer Ben Tobias and followed up with him a few hours later when she returned to the newsroom. Grace returned to the Alachua County EOC for the final briefings of the day. In the 5pm local briefing, officials announced that the Alachua County EOC would be downgrading to a Level 2 Monitoring stage.
